We need your help to keep NURA Community open

❄️ Happy Tuesday morning, NURA members. We hope you’re staying warm and cosy as winter settles in. We wanted to take a moment to thank you for being a cherished member of our community - and to reach out for a bit of help in keeping our Long COVID and ME/CFS online community thriving.

🤝 Help us keep NURA Community open 🌍

Whether you're a new face or one of our longtime supporters, we’re so grateful for the kindness and solidarity you bring to our space every day.

As many of you know, NURA was created to be a safe space, and a bespoke space where people with Long COVID, ME/CFS, and related conditions can connect, share experiences, and find light during some of our darkest days. Through the ups and downs of these debilitating chronic illnesses, we’ve seen firsthand the power of genuine support and friendship, and it’s our privilege to hold space for one another.

Our community has come so far, and it’s thanks to incredible people like you. But we need your help to keep this community going strong. So far, we’ve raised over £400, which is a great start. However, to cover our costs and sustain NURA for another two years, we need to raise ~£3,000.

🧡 Why we’re asking

Right now, your volunteer team is covering all the costs ourselves. We live with Long COVID ourselves, so we understand how crucial it is to have a place like this - a place where you can feel heard, understood, and less alone. But to keep everything running smoothly and to keep our community open to everyone, and as inclusive as possible, we need a bit of support from you.

To put it into perspective, if just one sixth of NURA members were able to give £1 a month for a year, we’d cover our annual costs. Even just 50p a month from a third of members would go a long way!

We know not everyone can donate, and that’s absolutely fine. If you are able to share the link with others who may be interested, or if you know of any funding opportunities we may be eligible for, please let us know.

💰 What your support means

By donating, you’re not just helping us cover the bills; you’re keeping our vision for NURA alive. Every contribution helps us to:

  • 🥂 Host regular support sessions, social events and virtual meetups, where friendships and lasting connections are formed

  • 🗣️ Invite guest speakers who bring expertise, inspiration, and encouragement to our members

  • 💻 Cover tech costs like Mighty Networks and Zoom, so that we can run our events smoothly and securely

In short, you’re creating a space where everyone feels welcome and where no one has to face these isolating illnesses alone.

🤲 How you can help

Whether it’s a one-time gift or a monthly contribution of even £3, every donation makes a difference. Even the smallest regular donation helps us plan for the future, reach more people, and strengthen the network of support our community depends on.

Thank you for being such a vital part of our journey. We simply wouldn’t be here without you, and we’re so grateful for all the warmth and generosity you bring to NURA. Here’s to many more years of support, connection, and resilience.

With a whole lot of love,

Anya and Lydia, your NURA Community team

🌍 AI-powered mental health and gentle routine-building app with a focus on self-care.

“This app has been a godsend to help remind me of those things but also take the pressure off of myself for once. I open the app a couple of times in the morning to look at my morning routine to see if there's anything I forgot. Same at night, etc. It's helped me stick to my goals and remove some anxiety.”

The beta version for Android is currently free.
